Quick service franchise Panara Bread has recently introduced a new subscription program for its customers, offering free unlimited drinks nationwide. For $10.99/month, Panera Bread's Unlimited Sip Club members can get any size drinks of hot or iced coffee, tea, fountain soft drinks, lemonade, and their new caffeinated Charged Lemonades, which boast three distinct flavors and 489mg of clean caffeine per large drink.
However, their current promotion offers both new and existing customers FREE membership to their subscription plan through July 4th, if you sign up and subscribe between now and May 6th, 2022. I signed up earlier this week, and I'm here to tell you that I am a fan!
Subscription services are nothing inherently new, but it is something not as tried or proven in the restaurant industry. Olive Garden's popular Never Ending Pasta Pass was a hit for many, but its limited availability hindered it to be treated as more of a publicity stunt than an actual monthly subscription service open to the masses. This move by Panera will be interesting to observe how this service will grow and expand Panera's customer base.

Personally, I haven't even walked into a Panera Bread location for well over 10 years. I never was a particular fan of the brand, in fact, I only went in because I had a friend who worked there when I was in high school.
After signing up for this subscription, I've been to my local Panera cafe at least twice per day, each time redeeming a free large drink of my choice. So far, I've stuck to walking in and out with only my free beverage in hand, but I have been tempted by their beautiful menu photos; my mouth waters every time I see a photo of their mac n' cheese in a bread bowl.

How To Sign Up for the Unlimited Sip Club
To subscribe, customers must create a new or existing MyPanera account and link a credit card to their account when signing up for the Unlimited Sip Club subscription service. New and existing MyPanera members who sign up for the club before May 6th will not have to pay for their Unlimited Sip Club membership until July 4th. After then, the subscription costs $10.99/month and is automatically charged to the credit card you have on file.

Depending on how much you enjoy Panera's drink options and how close a location is to you, this could be a great value if you're in need of a caffeinated beverage or soda. So far, I've enjoyed the free drinks, and have saved some money by redeeming my club drinks when normally I'd routinely get a drink at Dutch Bros or Starbucks.
