Local Woodinville Farmer Hosts Local Farm Dinner Celebrating Washington Grown Produce & Wine

Tickets are $185 and include a 5-course meal with matching wines from Valdemar Estates.

Hello foodie friends! If you haven't already heard, there is a very special "Local Farm Dinner" happening this Tuesday, August 23rd at Valdemar Estates tasting room in Woodinville, Washington.

Local chef and podcast host Justin Khanna will be cooking up a delicious 5-course meal, utilizing locally grown produce from regenerative farmer Aashay Savla of Aash Farms, the host and organizer of this culinary event. The meal will also feature matching Valdemar Estates wines with each course to complete the dining experience.

A blurb provided by Aash Farms states:

Woodinville Farmer, Aashay Savla of Aash Farms, just announced a Local Farm Dinner at Valdemar Estates in Woodinville the evening of August 23rd. Aash, a regenerative farmer, grows unique, diverse crop varieties on his farm located a half mile from the host winery's tasting room. With world-renowned Chef Justin Khanna cooking a 5-course French-inspired menu and the head Sommelier, Will, hand-picking Valdemar Estates wine for the dinner menu, it will be an experience you won't want to miss.

At $185 per person, I can see some readers like you might feel a little apprehensive about spending that kind of money for a meal. But trust me, this won't be just any Ol' meal - it will be an experience for the senses, your tastebuds especially.

My Take:

This is as true of a "farm-to-table" dining experience as one could be. We are talking fresh, seasonal, and organic produce locally grown using no-till and regenerative farming practices on certified organic land. Mix in the culinary expertise of Chef Khanna ( Per Se, Grace, The French Laundry, Frantzen, Noma, and Lysverket, to name a few) and pair all of that with wines created by a family who has roots in wine-making going back over 100 years... Need I say more?

My advice: If you're planning on celebrating a birthday dinner, an anniversary, or trying to impress a date sometime this week, cancel your reservations and move your plans to this farm dinner Tuesday night. You'll be dining with some of the best producers and chefs the Pacific Northwest has to offer. When texting Aashay recently, he mentioned tickets are almost sold out, so don't wait and get them before they are gone.
